What is the process of uploading my project? How do I upload my project?
Your order will not go into production until the project has been uploaded to us.
Once you have completed the order form, you will receive an order number. You then need to close that window so that you are taken back to our editor.
The editor will give you the option to 'Upload Order' or 'Send via Mail'.
Please make sure that you select 'Upload Order', unless otherwise instructed by our Customer Service Team.
The software will then create the order data for your product and will upload your files for us to produce. During the first part of this process, your images will be resized to create the optimum file size for uploading, while retaining as much detail in the image as possible.
This is a CPU intensive process and on older computers it can take a long time (over 20 minutes for larger albums). On a modern multi-core processor this can take less than 5 minutes.
The time it takes to create the order data and upload the project is directly related to the size of your product, the number of pages, the quantity of included photos, the resolution of your photos, the number of effects used, and the speed of your internet connection.
You can click on the 'Speed test' button if you want the editor to check the page sizes and the internet speed to give you an indication of how long it will take to upload the project. The time will be displayed next to 'Upload Order'.
The editor will upload your project one page at a time, so if there are any interruptions to your internet connection, the editor should be able to pick up after the last successfully uploaded page when you select 'Retry'.
