How do I add .heic files to my project?
Many modern smart phones have changed the default image format from JPG to HEIC when taking photos. Unfortunately our editor cannot handle HEIC files yet therefore these images need to first be converted to JPG before you will be able to use them in your project. Please use the information below to convert your photos as required.

The best solution we have found is the free downloadable app called "CopyTrans HEIC" . This video provides simple instructions on how to use it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfGXY5Vbnt8
With this app you can highlight multiple HEIC files and convert them all at once.

We would also recommend that you update the Camera settings on your smart phone so that any future photos are automatically taken in JPG format. To do this on your phone, open the 'Settings' App. Click 'Camera'. Click 'Formats'. Select 'Most Compatible.
***Please be aware that JPG files will take up more storage space on your device.
